Bromley and Downham Amateur Boxing Club's Steven Murphy is looking for further success when he represents London on May 6 against Ireland.
The 14-year-old Sedghill School pupil won the intermediate national schools title in Nottingham on March 21 against Golden Gloves boxer Sean Ion.
Trainer Richard Foster said: "He took his time to adjust to the other boy but after a few harsh words from the corner he went back to his boxing using combination punches."
