A man has been charged with murder by police following the death of a Ryde woman.
Deborah Morris was found dead at her home in St John's Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight, shortly after 1.30am on Friday, May 25.
A post mortem examination conducted on Friday, confirmed that Mrs Morris, 51, died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
Rory Morris, 53, of St John's Road, Ryde has been charged with murder.
Deborah Morris’s family have issued the following statement: "She was a caring, loving, giving and devoted mother, grandma, daughter, wife and friend."
Tim Cole, Senior District Crown Prosecutor for East Wessex said: "I have today authorised Hampshire Police to charge Rory Morris, 53, with the murder of Deborah Morris, who died from stab wounds at her home address at St Johns Road Ryde, Isle of Wight.
"The decision was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors, following a careful review of the file of evidence provided to me by the police.
"The defendant will appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Monday, May 28."
