AFTER going through the pressures of their GCSE exams, students at Cowes Enterprise College had the chance to let their hair down at its first end-of-year prom.

Year 11 students — 120 of them dressed up in traditional tuxedos and prom dresses — attended the prom at the Landguard Manor Hotel, Shanklin, last Friday.

Having arrived in vintage buses and cars, the young revellers were treated to a set by Caribbean singer Derek Sandy, together with a magic show from Huxley Hunt and a disco provided by disc jockey George Bolwell — both of whom are former Cowes High School students.
