Croydon followed up their hugely impressive win over league leaders Aldershot last week by squandering six valuable points at home.

A humiliating 5-3 defeat at the hands of local rivals Whyteleafe was confounded by a depressing 1-0 loss to Uxbridge on Saturday.

The Blues still managed to create the better of the chances but were wasteful in front of goal and ultimately paid the price when the visitors grabbed the only goal of the game five minutes before the break.

A well-struck strike from the edge of the area by Andy Campbell proved the game's decisive moment.

Croydon had enough chances to win the game with Jake Hutchinson, Danny Moody and Ben Judge all going close as they desperately chased the game. But Uxbridge held firm to snatch all three points.

r Croydon Ladies were beaten on penalties by Arsenal in the League Cup final at Barnet's Underhill on Sunday.

The match had ended goal less.
