COLOURFUL flags are cheering up Bromley town centre thanks to a series of specially designed banners flying from flagpoles.
Working with visual arts group Cloth of Gold, children made silkscreen prints of images based on a theme of their local community as a village.
The banners will be displayed in East Street and the north area of Bromley High Street until the beginning of May.
Bromley town centre manager James Findlater said: "This arts project encourages children to become more involved with the issues happening in the town centre.
"It helps to engender a real sense of place for both the town and its future citizens and shoppers."
Bromley schools involved in the project include Parish Primary, in London Lane, St Georges Primary, in Tylney Road, Scotts Park Primary, in Orchard Road, and Bickley Primary, in Nightingale Lane.
