Junior Lewis, the Leicester City and former Hendon striker, presented the prizes during Mill Hill Rangers' awards evening at the Mill Hill Sports Club, Grahame Park Way, on Saturday.

Scott Purdue gained three U10s honours, manager's player of the year, players' player of the year and parents' player of the year. Keeper Joe Tanner was voted the most improved player.

Mill Hill Rangers U10s contested the Middlesex County five-a-side tournament at Hayes on Sunday and showed no ill-effects from their late night. From an entry of over 60 teams, their 'A' side reached the final, losing 1-0 in extra time to Tanley, who scored with the last kick of the game.

Playing for Rangers were Joe Tanner, Charlie Ferguson, Scott Purdue, Josh Payne, Adam King and Tommy Shackham. Their 'B' team lost 1-0 to Eastville in the Vase semi-final.

Mill Hill's U9s played well in the Watling tournament. After beating the host club 2-1, they reached the final, losing to AFC Wasps. Jerry Opkou scored seven goals in total and was voted player of the tournament.
