This game was important to Elliott's, who needed three points to keep them at the top of their division.

Elliott's got off to a good start, and in the first ten minutes the Reporters conceded three goals from James Welch, Mustafa Archibald and Danny Apps.

With the Reporters failing to put up any resistance, Elliott's scored another three goals, from Danny Gruar and Danny Apps, who scored twice.

In the second half Elliott's changed their strike force, and centre half Micheal Hightower, playing up front, brought about the seventh goal when he beat two Reporters defenders and the goalkeeper to slot home his first goal of the season.

Elliott's Sport came out on top in their second game against Roving Reporters.

James Welch and Dan James had good chances, and the midfield made accurate passes to Danny Gruar, who was being outpaced by the Reporters' centre half.

Elliott's finally broke through when James Welch was rugby-tackled by the Reporters' goalkeeper in the area, and slotted home to leave the hapless hacks fuming.

Within five minutes Dan James, not wanting to be left out, fired a rocket of a shot in the bottom corner of the net.

The third goal came from Danny Gruar, who finally beat Reporters' defence and slotted home.

In the second half, despite a strong tail wind, the Reporters were thwarted by Elliott's stong defending.
