THE sister and cousin of Evey Staley, who was killed in a crash involving a drug and drink impaired driver, are to raise money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Evey’s older sister, Ellie, 16, and her cousin, Bethany Rimington Staley, 17, are to take part in the Isle of Wight Challenge, a 100km walking challenge in August.
The month marks the two-year anniversary of Evey’s death. She was killed after a driver, who was two-and-a-half times over the drink-drive limit and had been smoking cannabis, ploughed into her family’s car.
The teenagers hope to raise £800 for the air ambulance, which took Evey to Southampton General Hospital after the crash.
Isle of Wight College student Bethany said: "The air ambulance is truly an incredible charity."
