A WEATHER warning for heavy rain for parts of the Isle of Wight tomorrow (Thursday) has been lifted by the Met Office.

The 'be aware' warning, issued on Monday, covered the west of the Island to Ryde in the north and St Lawrence in the south.

Heavy rain overnight lead to some localised flooding and the Environment Agency has issued flood warnings for coastal areas and Monktonmead Brook in Ryde.

Some heavy rain is still forecast for late tonight into the early hours of tomorrow (Thursday).
