Paul Berry scored.
RUGBY Lymington Mariners 29, Ventnor 17
VENTNOR found themselves hard done by in an epic match.
Poor missed tackles saw Lymington take a 12-0 lead at half time but a Mike Walker try bursting over in the second half gave Ventnor hope.
Having had much of the play, Ventnor then found three penalty decisions go against them and had a player sin binned.
The result led to a Lymington try and a mountain to climb.
Paul Berry scored in his dogged style, and converted, but time ran out.
Ventnor seconds host Sandown and Shanklin III at Watcombe Bottom tomorrow (Saturday) in a friendly.
