Keegan’s hope for 2013

Keegan Brown.

DARTS AFTER a successful 2012, darts star Keegan Brown has set his sights high for the year ahead.

Keegan, 20, of Newport, has had a great first year on the PDC circuit, climbing the world rankings and celebrating successes on the PDC Pro Tour and PDC Unicorn Youth Tour.

He has played and beat top ten players of the world, including James Wade, Andy Hamilton and Terry Jenkins and hasn’t been whitewashed during any of his pro tour events.

He said: "It has been nice to play the top players of the world and give them a good run for their money," he said. "I only missed out on the PDC Youth Tour Order of Merit by one place, which would have qualified me for the World Championships but if I put in more practice I can hopefully book my place in next year’s tournament.

"Next year, I going make sure I do qualify for TV tournaments on Sky. I have also the World Youth Championship to look forward to after coming fifth on order of merit and automatically go forward to a later stage of the competition."
