CANOEIST Richard Jefferies was back in Olympic action this morning (Wednesday).

Richard, formerly of Bembridge, competed in the C1 1,000m canoe sprint B Final, shortly before 10am.

*The B Final determined Richard's final rank in 1,000m event. He finished 7th in the race, making him 15th overall in the event, which he would not normally have competed in.

He will race again at Eton Dorney on Friday however, when he takes part in his specialist event, the canoe sprint 200m.
