Job seekers and companies from across south London will be converging on Croydon on Thursday and Friday for the 1998 Guardian-sponsored Jobs Fair.

If you are looking for a change of profession, a first job or even a step up the career ladder then the Arnhem Gallery at Fairfield is the place for you to be over the next two days.

A wide range of vacancies from 36 different exhibitors will be on display during the fair which is open from 10am to 7pm on Thursday, March 12, and from 10am to 5pm on Friday, March 13.

The Croydon Guardian has a firm commitment to recruitment and the promotion of employment.

As a company we try to offer as wide a range of jobs as possible - both in the recruitment section of our newspaper and at the Jobs Fair - which will be the second sponsored by us at Fairfield.

All visitors to our fair over the two days will be able to submit profile forms, available on the day, to relevant exhibitors for consideration.

Vacancies on offer will range from secretarial positions to accountancy.

The range includes administrative posts, as well as careers in commerce, sales, insurance, driving, property, caring, catering, publishing, the armed forces, police and travel.

Don't forget to come and see our team on the Guardian stand.

And don't worry if you are working at the moment - Jobs Fair 98 is open until 7pm on Thursday to give everyone the chance for a look round.
