NEIL Groves and Carly Dawkins honeymooned in Venice following their wedding at the New Holmwood Hotel, Cowes.
The bridegroom, a storeman, is the son of the late Mr and Mrs Keith Groves.
The bride, a school administrator, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Ian Dawkins, of Gordon Road, Cowes.
The bride wore a satin and lace duchess gown, with pearl and crystal detail, and a pearl and crystal tiara. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of plum tulips and calla lilies, ivory roses, daisies and beargrass, decorated with pearls and glitter.
She was attended by Hayley Dawkins (bride’s sister), who wore a full-length, column-style dress in plum satin and carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.
Aloso in attendance were Bronwen Rees, 13, Rowana Rees, ten, Martha Rees, six, Tillie Tigg, nine (bridegroom’s nieces), and Ellie-May Dawson, three (bride’s niece), who wore knee-length, A-line style dresses in plum satin, with pearl band, and ivory rose wrist corsages.
The best man was Colin Staley and the ushers were Rai and Callum Higgins (bridegroom’s nephews).
Registrar Lois Smith officiated.
A reception, also held at the New Holmwood Hotel, followed the ceremony.
