A COUPLE who met on a sailing holiday in The Solent, Mark Charles Hart and Lindsay Jane Davies, were married at Northwood House, followed by a dedication at St Mary’s Church, Cowes.
The bridegroom, a yachtsman, is the son of Mrs Bobbie Hart and the late Mr George Hart, from Weymouth, Dorset. The bride, a chef, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Trevor Davies, of Townsend Road, Ashford, Middlesex.
The bride wore a dress with a double-lined silk top and a bias-cut satin skirt. The dress had a hand-made trim of pearls and beads and was worn with a feather shrug. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses, lilac, stock, jasmine, herbs and lily of the valley.
She was attended by Tracy Davies (bride’s sister), who acted as matron of honour.
The bride and bridegroom have five children and one grandson between them and all attended the wedding.
A reception was held at Shepherds Wharf and the couple plan to honeymoon at the IW Festival.
Registrar Sharon Crews officiated.
